Podloft Support
The AI podcast studio for iPhone.
What Podloft is
Podloft turns an idea — or a script you paste in — into a finished podcast episode: two hosts (or a solo narrator), chapters, and a word-synced transcript, playable in the app, on the lock screen, and in CarPlay. Everything is generated on your device using your own AI provider keys. There are no accounts and no Duskmill servers.
Getting started
Podloft needs at least one AI provider key to write and voice episodes (Google Gemini works for both; OpenRouter unlocks many writing models). Add keys in Settings → Providers — each screen links to where the key comes from. Generation costs are billed by your provider to your own account; Podloft shows an honest estimate before you generate and a real cost after.
Frequently asked
- Why do I bring my own keys?
- It keeps Podloft private and cheap: your content goes directly from your device to the AI provider you chose, with nobody (including us) in the middle, and you pay providers their actual rates with no markup.
- What does an episode cost to make?
- Typically a few cents — the app shows the estimate up front and the real split (writing · voices) afterwards in Episode info.
- Do my episodes sync between devices?
- Yes — through your own private iCloud, if iCloud is enabled. They never touch our servers (we don't have any).
- Can I use my own script or transcripts?
- Yes. Paste a script and Podloft performs it word-for-word — or build a whole series from your transcripts. Messy pastes can be restructured by AI without changing a word.
- Something failed mid-generation.
- Open the Queue: stopped or failed episodes offer Resume/Retry, continuing from where they left off without re-spending what already succeeded.
